A Convoy Crowd Survey & Terry Fox Love
Wednesday, February 2, 2022
My time spent in Ottawa this past weekend supporting the trucker convoy went by quickly. I was on Parliament Hill on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and I can report there was nothing "fringe" about the people that gathered from across Ontario and across Canada.
On Saturday - the busiest day of the weekend - the organizers were unable to set up a speaking stage with a microphone and speakers but your New Blue team in attendance was thinking ahead. We were able to rent a microphone and speakers on Saturday, get it to the middle of the gathering, and set it up on a flat-bed.
Thanks to the New Blue's supplied audio system, the thousands in attendance were able to hear stories from individuals personally impacted by government mandates. Even Ezra Levant of Rebel News made use of the New Blue's audio system to address the crowd!
I was also provided an opportunity to ask the thousands in attendance a few questions before my speech was cut short when the audio was disconnected.

The following day, I read the attempts by the establishment media and left-wing politicians trying to suggest that the thousands gathered the previous day were disrespectful of Canadian hero Terry Fox.
Having spent 2021 struggling with and recovering from the same bone cancer that took Terry Fox's life - undergoing six rounds of chemotherapy and three surgeries, including reconstructive leg surgery that resulted in most of my femur being replaced with an internal prosthesis, losing two of my four quadriceps muscles, and having a full knee replacement - I was the best person to set the record straight.

We will continue to stand on principle, stand up for Ontarians, and stand up to deceitful media spin.
This is the job of the New Blue Party - a job that the Ontario PC Party will never do.
