I hope your 2024 has been off to a great start!

To close out 2023, some "political pundits" were assuring us that we would see fewer left wing policies from the Ontario PC Party.

But the Ontario PCs, with or without Doug Ford leading them, have solidified their role as the primary provincial extension of the Trudeau Liberals.

Last year, we alerted you to several multi-billion dollar corporate welfare schemes by the Ford PCs and Trudeau Liberals to fund electric vehicle battery production.

Instead of pushing back when the Trudeau Liberals unveiled their "mandatory target" that all new passenger vehicle sales be electric by 2035, the Ford PCs agreed to spend your hard-earned money on Trudeau's "green" dream.

That's taxpayer money spent by the Doug Ford Ontario PCs to fund the Trudeau "green" electric vehicle dream.

Making matters worse, EVs aren't even that "green."

They certainly are not "zero emission" vehicles, as their production depends on mining, manufacturing, and transportation — all of which contribute to carbon emissions.

The creation of EV batteries (particularly the extraction of materials like lithium and cobalt) requires massive amounts of energy which has a similar impact on the environment to traditional forms of energy that cost a lot less.

And that is not even mentioning the end-of-life disposal problems that EV batteries bring with them. Since the EV battery recycling process is in its infancy, there remains the high potential for improper disposal in the future that will lead to hazardous waste issues.

But none of this matters to the Ontario PC Party.

Doug Ford and his caucus have decided that doing the bidding of the Trudeau Liberals takes priority over the truth.

It isn't about a better, more affordable, and healthier future for Ontarians. 

It is just about left wing, virtue-signalling for the Ford PCs and the Trudeau Liberals.

Intrusive "green" energy schemes, corporate welfare, and draconian overreach by the Ontario PCs are just some of the reasons why we created the New Blue Party.

With your help, we will continue to hold the Ford PCs to account when they stand "shoulder to shoulder" with the federal Liberals on these major political files.

And we will challenge the left, balance the narrative, and change the course in Ontario!
