As we gather with our loved ones this Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to you for your unwavering support and dedication to the New Blue Party of Ontario.

This year marks a very special anniversary for us. Four years ago, on Thanksgiving Day in 2020, Belinda and I announced that we had received approval from Elections Ontario to start a new provincial political party.

In just our first two years, the New Blue became Ontario's fifth-largest provincial party, standing strong behind the PCs, Liberals, NDP, and just behind the Greens — who have been on the scene for more than 40 years. The New Blue was the first party in Ontario’s 2022 election campaign to register a candidate in every riding. And in our first election, we achieved the largest vote share and the most votes of any new party in Ontario since the 1930s.

But as we have grown, so too have the challenges. Since that election, our team has worked tirelessly to ensure that every single New Blue riding association, every candidate, and the party itself meets the overwhelming financial and legal compliance tests set by Elections Ontario.

This has been no small task. It took more than 372 financial filings and countless hours of audits, and it came at great cost in terms of time volunteered and money spent. But we persisted, and thanks to supporters like you, we are standing strong.

As we celebrate Thanksgiving, let us be thankful for all that we’ve achieved together. Our success is a shared one, built on the dedication of every New Blue supporter, volunteer, and member.

Thank you for being part of this movement. There is much more to do, and with your continued support, we will keep pushing for a better Ontario.
