Two weeks ago, British Columbia’s NDP government dropped their COVID-19 vaccine mandate for healthcare workers.

Shockingly, we are still waiting for a similar policy here in Ontario. The Doug Ford PCs continue to refuse to put a stop to bureaucrats having the power to implement COVID-19 vaccine mandates in healthcare and other government funded sectors.

In 2021, Doug Ford imposed a COVID-19 vaccine passport system across Ontario's public and private sectors. The Ford PCs also gave the power to bureaucrats to implement vaccine mandates in the healthcare system and other sectors. They followed this up with PC cabinet ministers formally encouraging hospitals and other health care facilities to implement the mandates.

Every single Ontario PC MPP supported these draconian measures.

The result?

Thousands of dedicated healthcare workers were fired. 

Now, more than three years later, the Ford PC government has yet to call for an end to these mandates, nor have they rescinded the policy that allows bureaucrats to implement such measures.

It’s a sad state of affairs when even British Columbia’s NDP acts before the supposedly "conservative" option in Ontario in the PC Party.

Doug Ford and the PC government's advocacy for repeated lockdowns and mandates, and their left-wing establishment policies, paved the way for Justin Trudeau to impose similar policies at the federal level.

The New Blue Party of Ontario stands for restoring dignity, transparency, and common sense to our healthcare system.

That is why we are committed to ending the COVID-19 vaccine mandates that still exist across Ontario and rehiring the workers who lost their jobs as a result of these unjust policies.

Ontario deserves leadership that values individual rights and freedoms.
