Councillor Rhonda Jubenville is making us proud!

Monday, April 24, 2023

The principled and passionate Ontarians, and their desire to change the course of our politics for the better, are the reason why the New Blue Party has a bright future!

One of the exceptional members of the New Blue is Rhonda Jubenville.

Rhonda ran as a New Blue candidate in Chatham-Kent-Leamington last June, and a few months later, she won her first bid for Chatham-Kent council!

Immediately after her election, Rhonda started making a difference.

Just weeks after being elected as a councillor - Rhonda submitted a notice of motion (click here to read all about it)asking Chatham-Kent council to suspend the remainder of the municipality's COVID-19 vaccination and testing policy for new hires.

One day later, Chatham-Kent’s executive management team adopted Rhonda's idea and scrapped the policy!  Click here to read the news report.

Tonight, Rhonda plans to bring forward a motion to stop special interest flags from being flown outside Chatham-Kent's municipal buildings and ensuring only the Canadian, Ontario, and municipal flags are flown.

And click here to watch Rhonda discuss the motion on CTV News.

Rhonda believes her motion would ensure that Chatham-Kent’s municipal sites are places where all are welcome, and demonstrate that the local government's focus is on their constituents as a whole - not just on special interest groups that make the most noise.

Jim has always reminded us at the New Blue that "all politics is local."

And Councillor Rhonda Jubenville is proving herself to be a strong and courageous local leader in her community!

Rhonda is showing us all how to make a difference.

We are lucky to have Rhonda and many others just like her as part of the New Blue Party and she continues to have our full support.

Way to go, Rhonda!

Together, we will continue to challenge the left, balance the narrative, and change the course!
