Should We Challenge, or Appease the Left?
Monday, Janurary 17, 2022
The New Blue Party of Ontario was formed to drive results - to challenge the establishment left, their lobbyists, and their destructive ideas.
Just like we challenged them before.
The New Blue wasn't formed to lobby, beg, make friends, or cut deals with the establishment left and their lobbyists.
We have and will continue to stand on principle.
Others, like Doug Ford and even some claiming to stand up for values, make a practice out of betraying principle in exchange for making friends and cutting deals.
Whether it is the Toronto Star, or Ford's good friends who he supported during the last federal election campaign - Chrystia Freeland and Justin Trudeau - Ford and the PCs are desperate to appease the left.
And what does it get Ontarians?
Absolutely nothing.
Unchallenged and unrestrained, the left has been running wild and leading Ontario into a rapid authoritarian decline over the last three years that has been darker than the prior 15 years.
The more politicians like Ford play nice, cut deals, and make friends with them, the further the left pushes with outrageous arguments and proposals.
Five days ago, the Toronto Star published an opinion editorial (click here) that demanded that government "turn the screws" on Ontarians who do not have all three COVID-19 vaccine shots or who refuse to disclose their COVID-19 vaccine status, by making life more costly. Of course, the Star ignored the fact that COVID-19 is rapidly spreading amongst the entire population, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status.
Belinda said it was a "hate filled opinion piece."
She's right. It was tabloid trash.
But of course, Ford and the PCs said nothing.
A few weeks ago, Trudeau had this to say about Canadians who refuse a COVID-19 vaccine shot, "They are extremists, who don't believe in science, they're often misogynists, also often racists. It's a small group that muscles in, and we have to make a choice in terms of leaders, in terms of the country. Do we tolerate these people?"
Again, Ford and the PCs said nothing of Trudeau's evil rhetoric.
That's because Trudeau was expressing the same sentiment Ford had expressed in 2020 when calling lockdown critics "a bunch of yahoos" for protesting against Ford's authoritarian emergency rule.
Two years later, Ford's measures have done nothing to make COVID-19 go away and has damaged our economy and our social fabric.
But for the Toronto Star and Justin Trudeau it's not enough - they want Ford and the PCs to go further left.
Ford isn't the only one who believes in appeasing and making friends with the left.
Other figures, desperate to be accepted by the establishment, often go along with the left's agenda.
While Belinda was the only current or former PC MPP to stand up and vote against the Ford PC government's lockdown bill, others claimed they were "working from the inside."
They are quiet when the PCs adopt a leftist agenda that sticks the screws to Ontarians.
Only when the left comes after them, do they protest.
But what has "working from the inside" resulted in for Ontarians?
Absolutely nothing.

Trudeau and the left are not persuaded by weak actors like Doug Ford or ... who like to play footsie, make friends, lobby, and cut deals.
The only way to fight for a brighter future in Ontario is to challenge the left on their ideas.
That is what we have, and will continue, to do.
That is what will bring change.
And that is what the New Blue Party of Ontario is here to do.
Not lobby.
Not play nice.
Not cut deals.
And not make friends with the establishment.
But to stand on principle.
To defend Ontarians.
And to challenge the left.
That is what will make the difference.
And that is why I know, the best is yet to come!
