They tried to block Belinda from the legislature!
Thursday, October 7, 2021
On Monday, the Ford PC government returned to Queens Park for the first time since breaking for the summer.
Belinda was the only MPP in attendance who was confirmed not to be carrying or spreading COVID-19.
But this wasn't good enough for the establishment PC, Liberal, and NDP MPPs. Some MPPs wanted to bar Belinda (and any other MPP) from entering the legislative chamber who did not want to disclose their COVID-19 vaccination status, or who had not taken a COVID-19 vaccine.
Click here, or on the image below, to listen as I explained the entire situation on Sauga960am.
New rules at Queens Park now force all MPPs to show proof that they have received a COVID-19 vaccine in order to access the legislative chamber. MPPs can also show a negative COVID test result, as an alternative to taking a COVID-19 vaccine, or disclosing their COVID-19 vaccination status.
All the MPPs in attendance on Monday, except for Belinda, gained access to the legislative chamber by showing proof that they had received a COVID-19 vaccine.
Belinda gained access based on a negative COVID test result.
We all know that "science" has confirmed that someone who has taken a COVID-19 vaccine can still carry and spread the virus. So, based on "science", Belinda was the least likely person in the legislative chamber to have COVID-19 that day.
That didn't stop the NDP from moving a motion to deny entry into the legislative chamber of any MPP who like Belinda chooses not to disclose their COVID-19 vaccine status or who chooses not to take a COVID-19 vaccine.
The motion required unanimous consent. The only MPP that was in attendance in the legislative chamber on Monday that the motion was targeting was Belinda.
Luckily, Belinda was there to vote "No."
Imagine the lunacy.
The establishment political parties in Ontario no longer believe in democracy, electoral representation, or human rights.
They believe it is acceptable to deny Ontarians their jobs or from accessing facilities.
And they believe it is acceptable to deny an MPP, who represents over a hundred thousand Ontarians, from entering the legislative chamber, representing their constituents, and debating and voting on bills.
They say it is all about "health and safety."
But if that were true, then all Ontario MPPs would agree to take a negative COVID test prior to entering, just like Belinda did on Monday.
And they would all agree to allow a negative COVID test, or an antibody immunity test, as an alternative for Ontarians who do not want take a COVID-19 vaccine or who do not want to disclose their vaccination status.
But the establishment political parties reject these measures. They just want to force one way - their way.
And in typical government hypocrisy, the Ford PCs vaccine passport regulations do not allow for the same set of rules that apply to MPPs at Queens Park to apply to Ontarians seeking to access facilities or hold on to their jobs.
The establishment political parties are perpetuating a witch-hunt across Ontario that forces people to take the COVID-19 vaccine and disclose their vaccination status.
Even other jurisdictions that have jumped on the COVID-19 hysteria allow for negative COVID tests, or proof of antibody immunity to COVID from a prior infection, as an alternative to taking a COVID-19 vaccine and disclosing one's status.
But not in Doug Ford's PC Ontario.
Because this isn't about "health and safety."
Just like trying to remove Belinda from the legislature wasn't about "health and safety."
We need to return some sanity to Ontario,
And it starts with growing the New Blue Party of Ontario.
The Ontario PC Party receives $5.9 million annually in taxpayer funds, the Ontario NDP $5 million, the Ontario Liberals $2.8 million, and the Green Party $700,00. Even Independent MPPs, like Roman Baber and Randy Hillier, receive taxpayer money to fund their political operations and re-election efforts.
But the Ford PC's made sure that the New Blue Party of Ontario and Belinda receive no such taxpayer funding.
We rely exclusively on generous donations from our supporters and members to fund the growth of the party.
To receive a generous tax credit please consider a donation to the New Blue by visiting www.newblueontario.com/donate.
In the very near future, we will be opening the candidate application portal to go along with our membership portal which is already open!
We continue to make great progress.
Remember, the best is yet to come!

Leader, New Blue Party of Ontario
